Wild Rogue Waves

Wild Wave riding was the call for the day for these five awesome paddlers! With a larger volume of water flowing between the banks of the mighty Rogue River, there are some amazing runs to be had by all adventurers. The rapids will not disappoint you, they'll just make you want to keep coming back for more!

Spring Raft Trips

It is time for spring runs of rafting on the Rogue River. This means there are plenty of early season strawberries, bird watching for nesters and hatchlings, purple haze lupine, and lots of fast, fun water! Come on out for a wonderful spring day on the Rogue River!

Autumn is nearing a close as all of the festivities and celebrations of December are quickly approaching. Outside the river is free from the hustle and bustle of this busy time of year. Take time to get out and enjoy a peaceful and easy feeling along the Rogue.

Paddle Raft Fun

Our paddle raft crews have the most fun out on the water! The team work is just the beginning, then the humor, the competition, the lift off, the humor, the water fights, the paddling in sync, the humor, riding the bull, friendships, and did we mention humor?

Over Flow Parking

Ever get stuck in the over flow parking? We do it all the time! It couldn't be a prettier little beach, complete with wild mustard, fresh water creek, and a perfect swimming hole. The evening entertainment includes the busy beaver making his home, and more stars in the sky that you can count in a life time. Head on out to the over flow parking and keep real time with us!

River lunches are some of the most memorable times of the day. All of the hustle and bustle of everyday life has slipped away into River Time. Suddenly, hunger strikes hard! Don't worry, you will be well fed and well taken care of at O'Brien's!

Discover a wide variety of freshly picked vegetables from the garden at O'Brien's headquarters, fruits ripened on the trees, a fresh strawberry patch ready with sweet, juicy, goodness, and sandwich wraps filled with turkey and basil, or mandarin orange chicken will satisfy the heartiest appetite. If these tasty treats don't take care of the hunger pangs, then the River Brownies or Guide Cookies will surely do the trick. Let's make plans to do lunch soon!

Sticks

These aren't just any ole kind of sticks! These are 10' Sawyer Oars, crafted right here in Southern Oregon. We are getting ready for our spring training trips and we will get these oars into the water very soon. We have had a healthy dose of spring rain and snow pack in the mountains. Stay tuned for our season opener!

Rogue River Paddlers

What a fun day with kayakers, rafters, squirt gunners, bird watchers, whitewater wavers and treehousers! The best place to be when the temperatures soar above 100 is right between the river banks!

Visitors from East Lansing, Michigan began an adventurous journey into retirement on the Rogue. They had company from Rough and Ready, California and Medford, Oregon who were ready for a little R and R of their own also on the trip. It was a delightful day and it was so great to have you all on the trip.

Enjoying The River Life

We had the Kurtzman family from Maryland and the St. John family from Washington State visit the Rogue River for a nice and easy float trip. The St. John's family enjoyed the paddle raft, while the Kurtzman's were rowed by their guide Tim, and their two kids zipped along in the inflatable kayaks. We were treated to an incredible Osprey dive which resulted in a perfect catch of a baby salmon. Julie and Ryan took on the giant waves in Argo like they had been paddling their whole lives. It was certifiably fun! Thanks for a great time everyone!

Oregon Family Rafting Trip

Family rafting on the Rogue River doesn't get any better! We had the oar framed raft, an inflatable kayak or two, a big yummy lunch, great guides, beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife for a trip with the Alvarez Family and Heckler Buddies. Thank you for a wonderful day on the water and some great paddling!

Leap of Faith!

Thanks to Mike and his family we had a great day on the water! Siblings, Katherine, Mike, Karen, and John brought the kids to play on the river, test the rapids and enjoy some Southern Oregon hospitality Rogue River style!

San Diego and London Rafting and Paddling

Ian and Alan in America on part business and part adventure met Carol and Bill in the late summer time heat of the Rogue Valley. They weather was stunningly beautiful as temperatures soared to 97 degrees, but the Rogue is forgiving and offers pools of cool water to dip into, raging rapids to invigorate, and endless water fighting opportunities for a full day whitewater experience.

Everyone tested his or her skills in the inflatable kayaks and also tried the ride in the Maravia 16 foot, self bailing raft. Carol and Bill took the rapids like experts and seemed to have an innate ability to get the biggest waves! Everyone played hard with the super soakers, even when the target was themselves! What a great show and a fantastic day with wonderful people. Thanks, guys!
