The Johnsons enjoyed the whitewater run through Hellgate Canyon and could have easily written a scene in the timeless canyons of the Rogue River from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or the Hobbit! They all agreed Gandalf would have decidedly found a great hiding place in the ancient grey-colored rock walls. The Johnson family eagerly greeted all that the Half Day Trip had to offer: terrific whitewater, fantastic scenery and a hint of mystery in the every present history of the landscape.
