Haley and Kelly were self proclaimed animal whisperers today! They saw so much wild life above and along the banks of the mighty Rogue River. River otter were steadily watching them above Ennis Riffle. Turtles, beaver, osprey, bald eagles, and deer were among the other critters that came out to watch the happy paddlers. Then there was Rocky Raccoon, who has diligently been washing her food along the riverside. 
Kelly and Haley were paddling inflatable kayaks and looking like experts throughout the day. Lunch was served on the bank with the inflatable kayak used as a table top. Its never the same river twice! 
I had sooo much fun!!! Alyssa, our guide, was fantastic!!!(I want her job!) The three of us just kick it and road the rapids like champs. :) Alyssa asked us if we wanted to get wet on our first rapid... and I said... "Dude...I say we go Big or we go home!" Ha and Kelly said joking.. "...I'm going home." Ha! We just had a blast! Seeing the wildlife was really fun, too! Kelly freaked when she saw the bald eagle flying over us! ha! She had been longing to see one all day! Man what else... The food was fantastic! Cute picnic set up. We could not have asked for a better guide, day, or kayaking group. This was Kelly's second time with the O'briens.. I'm so glad she radomly called me last week asking if I would go with her! I told my friends and family in Eugene all about it and I think/hope I sparked some interest! I'll send them your way! Thanks so much! And I'll say it again. Alyssa was an Awesome guide!
