West Coast Fun
Skip and Mary decided to take a trip to the West Coast. They started in Montana then traveled through Canada, Washington, The Oregon Coast, California and finally ended here in Grants Pass. Skip and Mary are avid canoeists and wanted to try whitewater in the raft and inflatable kayaks. Skip traversed the river like an old pro. Mary enjoyed being rowed in the Rocket Boat by river guide, Damian and listening to his famous river stories. The deer, an eagle, osprey, great blue herons and other wild life were in abundance and they had a beautiful fall day with the river to themselves. It was a pleasure meeting you both, and here's to 'living in a van down by the river!' Cheers!

ReplyDeleteTim, Kari and Damian, you made a really wonderful adventure for us -thank you!! (Damian, you spoiled Miss Mary for future raft runs that she and I may take on our own raft: she now thinks all she has to do is perch herself at the bow and let the stern guy and the elements take care of everything.) I had the usual visions of what rafting/kayaking on clear Northwest, USA rivers might be like before we set out on our 6-week adventure: what you, the Rogue River, and the weather provided exceeded my hopes. Whenever we may next be in your area, you can be sure we will be asking to book another trip with your excellent services. Our very best wishes to all of you always...see you someday under the bridge, down by the water, around the boat and van.
