Whitewater rafting on the Rogue is a great place to be on a hot summer day. It was also a well deserved respite for two Northern California couples. Nick and Kelly and Melissa and Gary were escaping the smoke from wildfires and the busy pace of corporate life. There was plenty of rapids to make a great ride and everyone got at least a little bit wet! 
Gary showed his skills at stunt kayaking as he rode the chute of Almeda and the big waves in Argo. Melissa was at ease immediately in the kayaks and practiced some stunts of her own in the deep troughs of Argo. Nick paddled like a pro through the afternoon whitewater with skill and finesse and we thought he had never paddled before! Kelly showed her rodeo skills on the front of the raft through some of the afternoon whitewater. We enjoyed the day with great people, wonderful conversation, and amazing whitewater action.
