We hit the water early this morning with Rick, the lone soldier from Gates, Oregon, and enjoyed a peaceful river all to ourselves. We were the only boat in sight on the water and we were able to experience the true serenity of the Rogue River. We drifted along at an easy pace in the absolute beauty of the deep river canyons and listened to comforting sounds of wildlife. Rick and his wife stayed at the Rogue Glen B&B. He said the hospitality was great! The Rogue Glen is right on the banks of the river and so we gave a wave as we drifted past the pretty gardens. What a wonderful trip!
