Snow on the Rogue

It has been such a beautiful autumn all along the river and as we near the end of the fall in the Rogue Valley, Mother Nature has treated us to a light snow. The bald eagles, great blue herons, and snowy white egret enjoy the river in the winter months too. Take a drive, a hike, a walk, but be sure to get out and about even on the dark and stormy days!

Little Mink Friends!

We were so lucky on one of the fall floats to capture to cutest little American Mink. She was quite curious about us too and we captivated her attention just long enough to get a photo!

Then, very quickly she ran up the hill, away from the rocky den, and tried to distract us from her home.

Sometimes we can see the mink swimming across the river, fishing, or playing in the canyons! This time, with all of the golden-red colors of autumn, we got a special performance by the mink!

Rogue River Autumn

Spending time on the Rogue River in the fall is a beautiful time of year. The sun rises lower in the sky and changes the color of the canyons, trees, and water. Adding in the golden hues of the leaves changing and there is more gold to be found on the Rogue River! Come and see it for yourself!

Camping and Rafting on the Rogue

It is a beautiful time of year to pitch a tent and hang out along the banks of the Rogue River. Trees are beginning to shimmer like jewels with the autumn color, the days are warmer, the rapids are bigger, and life just keeps getting better! How about a cup of camp coffee?!
