Paddle and Ride

Here are the star attractions on our One Day Raft Trips and Half Day Raft Trips on the Rogue River. We have two types of rafts and inflatable kayaks.


The Maravia Fleet have names like Willy and Mistral! These are self bailer boats and we use them as "paddle rafts". These fast, rocket boats love the waves, take on water, and never let you know they have be wet!


The Rogue Inflatable is legendary. It was designed and built by a local rafting and fishing guide especially for the Rogue. We use it as an "oar boat" and it loves to carry a group of people looking for a fantastic ride.

Rogue River Raft Trips

Here we are at the end of an early season, late evening trip on the banks of the Rogue River. The 2010 season is upon us, and we are ready to ride the waves, drift through the deep canyons, bask in the Southern Oregon sunshine, and enjoy River Time!

The Lower Rogue

We took a pleasure drive down to Foster Bar over the week end to pick up some friends and neighbors who ran the Lower Rogue. It is truly beautiful country. The road up from Gold Beach runs along the South side of the Rogue River. Twenty eight miles up this road is Cougar Lane, then another 7.5 miles and the take out point is Foster Bar. Life moves at a slower pace in these parts.


At Foster Bar, there was little activity in the late morning. We enjoyed the view from the salmon dock, and noted the count on the stove was 10 salmon landed so far this year.


By noon the place was loaded with rafts, vans, trailers, trucks, kayaks, catarafts, people, and stories! There is such a positive energy surrounding the ride, the rapids, and the relationships the Rogue River offers.

Take Your Mom out to Dinner!

That's right! Take her outside to dinner and celebrate all the good things that you know you learned from her! Play a little easy listening music while you are at it...the river is always willing to hum a little tune!

Wild Lupine in Bloom

The wild lupine is in full bloom all along the river. The purple is so striking in contrast to the rugged layer of rocks and the rich green colors of spring. The water is still traveling at a healthy flow and Lost Creek dam is nearly full. This means plenty of water for summer time rafting and fun with family! Take a deep breath, you just might smell the lupine!

Dutch Oven Love

Nothing says love like Dutch Oven cooking! Here on the Rogue River, guides love to cook outdoors and along the banks of the Rogue. Open fire cooking, campfire roasting, and all of the delicious smoke-y smells that go along with it.


Dutch Oven cooking has become an art form! There is no end to the possibilities of what can be made at the fire and with some hot coals. Anything from a complete turkey dinner to breakfast omelets to peach cobbler and River Brownies. You are only limited by your imagination and which river to choose!
