Oregon Family Vacations

Wow! What a day! Three big rafts, ten inflatable kayaks and twenty five people enjoyed the beauty of the Rogue River today. There were some great paddling moments and as always a few swimmers adding thrill and excitement to the day. Water fights galore as the temperatures stretched back into the triple digits were a welcome refreshment.

Oregon whitewater rafting brings families together. Texas, California, Oregon, Washington gathered here for a Full Day Rafting Trip on the Rogue River. The question was asked from one of the young ones: Is there a hole in the river? The answer to that: There is a whole lotta fun in the river! Thanks for a memorable trip.

Family Reunion on the Rogue River

Brothers and sisters gather together with the kids for a fun day of Rogue River Rafting. The cousins had a blast swimming and the grown up kids had a wonderful time blasting each other with the squirt guns in the morning...at noon...in the heat of the day...well, it was All Day!

The reunion of siblings was a sweet reminder of all of the happy times they have had and that there are many more to share. Thank you Charly, Vic, Bret, and Lisa for bringing the kids and rafting the Rogue River with us~

Abundantly Happy

Eleven happy kids took their parents rafting today! They wore hats, polka dots, tie dye, flowers, stripes, and great big grins! Ryan, Tyler, Anna, Aiden, Nolan, Matea, Spencer, Hudson, Finley, Emma, and Jackson played in the boats, on the boats, and in the water!

The moms and dads of this delightful bunch of river rafters playing as much as the young ones did and included the inflatable kayaks on their trip. Ryan caught a ride with Austin, Tyler and Anna caught a ride in the waves with Little Mama and Papa, Emma got to tag along in and near Dan's boat, and Spencer loved hanging out with Dad in the little inflatable Yakie!

The beach party at lunch time included all of the top favorites like chocolate brownies, chocolate banana bread and chocolate chip cookies. You can tell the kids LOVE chocolate, but they also enjoyed plopping olives on the end of their fingers! Splashing in the river was thoroughly enjoyed and picking out the very best rock off of the bank topped off the lunchtime activities.

Back on the water to drift and swim and ride the waves finished off the perfect day with this happy bunch of people. Thanks for a terrific day!

Over the Rapids and Through the Chutes

Miranda and Marissa, Ron and Brook came to the Rogue Valley with a little extra history in their back pockets involving none other than Clark Gable! It was fun to share stories and see the family enjoy the paddle raft back on the Rogue River again. Ron was a sure aim with the squirt guns or do we call them super soakers? Whichever the case, they worked well in the hands of Ron!

Lindsay, Joe, Bert and Glenda were an excellent firing squad on the big orange boat (BOB!). The general theory was that Bert's tie dye started it all, but no one can be sure. The only certainty is that is was HOT, the water refreshing, and everybody enjoyed themselves.

Amy and Scott joined in the gathering from Rogue Forest Bed and Breakfast on a wonderful anniversary celebration. Both Amy and Scott mastered the paddling of the inflatable kayaks and traveled downstream. There was an abundance of wildlife throughout the day including two river otter sightings, beaver, osprey, turtles, deer, and a rare golden eagle enjoying an afternoon fish snack.

Thank you to one and all for a day that was simply enchanting.

Travel Time

Chris, Ron, Jessica and James took a side trip between Brookings and Crater Lake to travel the Rogue River on a Half Day Raft Trip. Ron and Jessica both took turns in the inflatable kayaks and enjoyed all the water they could take in for the morning run. Chris and James thoroughly enjoyed their time on the raft basking in the midst of a leisurely river experience.

They were joined by Cherry and Peter from Rhode Island who were traveling the west coast from Portland to San Francisco. Peter thought this just might be the highlight of their trip and who could disagree when looking at the good times, the natural beauty and the peaceful rhythm of the day! Thanks for a great day everyone.
