September Rafting the Rogue

Barbara and family traveled down from Washington State to camp at Indian Mary Park and raft the Rogue River through beautiful Hellgate Canyon. What a super day!

Some of the late summer runs of salmon are starting to jump around in the lower canyons and a few are being caught, but even more are just teasing the fishermen. The Canada Geese have begun practice of flight formation and their honking is now echoing through the canyons. Change is in the air...Welcome to September on the Rogue River!

Traveling The West Coast

Long time family friends John, Lorna, Darren and Lonnie were on a two week tour of the west coast. Today's adventure for them was whitewater river rafting. All four switched off in the inflatable kayaks throughout the day. They enjoyed big waves and wild rides. But you wouldn't have known it was there first time in kayaks. They handled the rapids like pros, and each one of them showed their own unique style! To top off a great day, they had teriyaki steaks waiting for them when they got back to their campsite. Thanks for the great fun, it was a pleasure to journey down the Rogue River with all of you.
