David and Scott may have been outnumbered 13 to 2 on the river, but they didn't seem to mind! Mingling family vacations and Girl Scouts out for the Adventure Badge made a great combination of fun, water fights and fearless paddling! Karen, Jackie, Christy, Scott and David traveled down from Seattle area to test the waters in both the raft and inflatable kayaks. Stacy, Aggie, Kaari, Amy, Zelda, and Amber journeyed from Tacoma to obtain the
Girl Scout High Adventure Badge.
There were some fantastic rides through many rapids! Karen was awarded the whitewater floating position in Galice and Amy earned a special honor in Argo. The jousting session was fantastic with balancing acts from everyone. Jackie and David took turns or rode together through many of the rapids on the bow of the boat in great style!
Mid afternoon we were able to view a black bear eating lunch along the river bank that consisted of river weed and blackberries. The young cub didn't seem to mind the company and of course we all agreed that was another badge: Black Bear on the Water! Thanks for a great trip full of good cheer and adventure.
